The Neuron Clinic is a leading outpatient neurology practice committed to advancing neurological care through high‑quality diagnostics and compassionate patient service. We are seeking a skilled Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) Technician to join our growing neurodiagnostic team. 


Position Summary
 


The NCS Technician is responsible for performing Nerve Conduction Studies as part of the EMG/NCS diagnostic process. This role requires strong technical skills, patient‑centered communication, and the ability to work efficiently alongside neurologists and other clinical providers. 


Key Responsibilities
 

  • Perform Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) following established clinical protocols. 
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and applying surface electrodes. 
  • Operate stimulators, amplifiers, and specialized neurodiagnostic software. 
  • Accurately record and label waveform data for physician interpretation. 
  • Maintain equipment functionality and ensure rooms are cleaned, stocked, and compliant with safety standards. 
  • Assist physicians or advanced practice providers during EMG‑related procedures when needed. 
  • Document procedures in accordance with clinic, regulatory, and HIPAA guidelines. 

Qualifications
 


Required
 

  • Experience performing Nerve Conduction Studies or completion of a neurodiagnostic technician program. 
  • Working knowledge of nerve pathways, neuromuscular physiology, and NCS fundamentals. 
  • Proficiency with electrode placement and electrical stimulation techniques. 
  • Strong communication, patient service, and technical troubleshooting skills. 

Preferred
 

  • National certification (e.g., R.NCS.T, CNCT) or eligibility. 
  • Prior experience in neurology or neurodiagnostic settings. 
  • Familiarity with EMG procedures and assisting physician‑performed diagnostic testing. 

Physical & Professional Requirements
 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data collection. 
  • Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 
Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
